On September 7, 2024, Former General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and Former President of Laos, Choummaly Sayasone, visited the Ruiyuan Richfield Sylvine Co., Ltd. plant in Vientiane to review the progress of its potash project. The visit was aimed at exploring the company’s technological innovations and production capacity in developing Laos’ potash resources.
During the visit, Choummaly paid special attention to the world’s first vertical mining machine designed specifically for the unique characteristics of Laotian potash mines. This cutting-edge technology plays a vital role in enhancing the mining efficiency of the region. Choummaly also inspected the auxiliary inclined shaft and observed the operation of the potash production line from the dispatch room.
At the end of the tour, Choummaly wrote an inscription, which reads:
“I am deeply honored to visit this factory, which possesses some of the most advanced technological processes in the world. I hope that Ruiyuan Richfield can make significant contributions to the socio-economic development of Laos and further strengthen the long-term bond of the China-Laos community of shared future.”
