The Lao Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Hong Kong ETO in Singapore Host Business Dinner to Explore Bilateral Cooperation

On the evening of July 29, the Lao Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Singapore jointly hosted a business dinner themed “Joining Hands for New Opportunities in Laos-Hong Kong Development.” Distinguished guests including John Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Peter Lam, Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and Yao Bin, President of the Lao Chinese Chamber of Commerce, attended the dinner.

Soukkaseum Silimoungkhoun, Honorary President of the Lao Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of SK Agricultural Technic Sole Co., Ltd., was fully involved in the reception and exchange activities during the delegation’s visit to Laos. Silimoungkhoun introduced the project planning and investment prospects of SK Agricultural Technic’s subsidiary, Puyue Mining, to the delegation members, highlighting the company’s efforts and achievements in sustainable development and environmental protection in potash mining. John Lee expressed his appreciation for SK Agricultural Technic’s investment and development in Laos, hoping that the company could be listed on the Hong Kong capital market in the future. He also encouraged Hong Kong enterprises to actively participate in the Lao market and seize the opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative.

This business dinner not only promoted economic exchanges between Laos and Hong Kong but also provided an important platform for exploring potential cooperation between the two sides. The Lao Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Singapore will continue to strengthen ties between the two regions and create more opportunities for cooperation between businesses in both places.
