On the afternoon of April 26, representatives from SK Agricultural Technic Co., Ltd. visited the Shanxi Big Data Center of China Unicom to understand the operation of the Shanxi Coal Industry Internet Intelligent Computing Platform. They also toured the China Unicom Smart Mining Corps and the Digital Economy Demonstration Hall of China Unicom’s Shanxi Branch.
Gao Xuefeng, Deputy Leader of the China Unicom Smart Mining Corps, shared experiences related to China Unicom Smart Mining Corps (Shanxi) pioneering the use of 5G technology in underground mining operations. He explained how the company built an intelligent network platform using 5G technology, creating an internationally leading smart security management platform. This platform meets needs such as autonomous system operation, self-alarm, intelligent switching between primary and backup machines, and safety management. Gao also introduced the 1+9 solution and product system of the China Unicom Smart Mining Corps, covering comprehensive intelligent mining, infrastructure, geological support systems, safety control systems, and other systems.
In January 2024, SK Agricultural Technic Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Unicom. This on-site visit to the China Unicom Smart Mining Corps has laid a solid foundation for the construction of a smart potash mine in Vientiane, Laos.
